Baby And Me Knitting Group

Did you know that knitting is the new yoga? Our Baby and Me knitting class will have you making new friends and learning a new hobby that is proven to help you relax. Knitting is a great compliment to motherhood because it is easily picked up and dropped, as needed, throughout your busy day.
Come knit with us in the comfort of our shop, while your non-mobile baby interacts with other babies on our community play mat. The Baby and Me Knitting Group will teach you everything you need to know about knitting. We will build your tool-box full of stitches and techniques, which will allow you to knit anything your heart desires, even cute baby booties!
Not a first time knitter? No problem! We welcome experienced knitters too, because this class isn’t just about knitting, it’s about building community, while sharing and nurturing our unique experiences in parenthood. Baby and Me Knitting is even the perfect outing for nannies!

Classes run Every Wednesday 10:30 - 12:00

$15 per class, or$100 when you sign for 8 sessions.

Parent And Child Knitting Class

Knitting is very beneficial to children. The STEM program recognizes knitting as being a beneficial tool for learning mathematics. From “…calculating measurement, estimating and predicting, ordering and sequencing, and working out area and perimeter” (STEM Learning), knitting becomes a helpful side kick to learning complex math skills. In addition, it has been proven that when parents are involved in their child’s learning, the child is more likely to exceed (Child Trends).

At Pinecones and Needles, we offer a special one-on-one bonding experience for parents and children (grades 1+) to learn how to knit. Our private 1-hour sessions will have you knitting comfortably in just 3-4 sessions.
