Knitting is very beneficial to children. The STEM program recognizes knitting as being a beneficial tool for learning mathematics. From “…calculating measurement, estimating and predicting, ordering and sequencing, and working out area and perimeter” (STEM Learning), knitting becomes a helpful side kick to learning complex math skills. In addition, it has been proven that when parents are involved in their child’s learning, the child is more likely to exceed (Child Trends).
At Pinecones and Needles, we offer a special one-on-one bonding experience for parents and children (grades 1+) to learn how to knit. Our private 1-hour sessions will have you knitting comfortably in just 3-4 sessions.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellation 72 hours or less before a workshop is scheduled: This guarantees compensation for our instructors.
We do offer a waiting list option if our classes are full and will make sure to contact you if a spot opens. While cancellations often occur at the last minute, we will still try to offer you spot if available, knowing it may be too late of a notice.
For a class to take place, we need at least two students. If we do not have enough enrollments by 12 Pm of the class date, we will cancel the class. You will be reimbursed if the class is canceled.
